Sheikh Zayed Road is Dubai's main transport artery (route E11), highway and throughway, the main city line, along which modern skyscrapers, high-end neighborhoods and residential communities group around.

The very route with the same name (E 11) runs across the whole country, from Abu Dhabi in the southwest to Ras Al Khaimah in the north-east. In Dubai, when you say Sheikh Zayed Road, you actually mean a 2-kilometer stretch between the Business Bay district and the roundabout near World Trade Center.
