Development guide
An AED 200 billion project, Bawadi is definitely among one of the most expensive privately financed development projects. Built across 10 km of desert in Dubailand, the massive tourism development project will have 35 themed hotels, 1,500 restaurants, 100 theatres and what is supposed to be the largest hotel in the world (Asia-Asia with 6,500 rooms). While development had slowed on the project during Dubai’s real estate crash, it’s possible to see construction of one of the residential towers – Meysan – by Emaar Properties when driving out on the Al Qudra Road. The towers are part of the Asmaran project, an Emaar Bawadi joint venture.
