Retail and entertainment complex with a huge park in its center: Dubai expands the very idea of shopping.

Cityland Group known for creating Dubai Miracle Garden and a park with living butterflies Dubai Butterfly Garden in Dubai has announced its plans for a new eco-friendly and nature-integrated Cityland Mall in Dubai.

Huge shopping malls are common in Dubai, for many people come here with a purpose of shopping in the first place. But ordinary process of buying things has always lacked a spiritual, recreational component. Now this flaw will be fixed: in the Cityland Mall people will be able not only buy everything they need, but also get in direct contact with nature in the open and a huge botanical garden in its center.

Mr. Abdel Naser Rahhal, Vice Chairman, Cityland Group, said: “Cityland Mall will be launched at an exciting time for Dubai. The city is building a robust canvas for projects that provide a holistic sensory experience, setting off a ripple effect of commercial activity in the area.”

To understand the significance of this project for tourist and general prospects for Dubai, we only need to look at figures describing it: 12 million visitors expected annually, more than 350 retail stores, a 100,000 sq.ft. hypermarket – the largest in Dubailand, and (a question of major importance for many people) a shaded parking space for over 6,000 cars with multiple entries to the complex; 16 cinema screens and, finally, 75 dining options presented by renowned international and regional restaurants, cafés and both small F&B options.

The highlight of this project will be the integration of pure nature and commercial premises, the focus on eco-friendliness and aesthetic component, where consumption and contemplation are not contradictory, but complementary. And similar complexes will appear in Dubai in future to further consolidate its fame as the most comfortable city for living, which, of course, will surely affect property prices soon.
