
Damac Properties signed a contract worth $139 million with the Chinese contractor CSCEC for construction of a multifunctional Aykon City project at the entrance to the Burj district along Dubai Canal. Read more for extra details on the project and apartment prices.
The contract implies accomplishing all construction works for Tower C, a residential tower in the luxurious Aykon City complex overlooking the Dubai Canal, and worth a total of $2 billion, a representative of DAMAC, one of the largest emirate developers, revealed. The contract with China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) is worth AED512 million ($139 million).
In February, CSCEC already won a AED600 million contract for construction of a second, 63-storey Tower B in the Aykon City complex with 964 apartments and hotel rooms to deliver; thus the choice of this contractor for construction of the third (out of four) Tower was quite expected.
The Aykon City project, expected to become Dubai's new major dominant among other central skyscrapers, is located on Dubai's main transport highway Sheikh Zayed Road and marks the entry to the central Burj district. Residential Tower C, labeled with the appropriate name of The Residence will have an internal area of more 1.8 million square feet across 62 floors. It will house studio apartments, as well as one, two and three bedroom flats, and an exclusive recreation and entertainment space, The Club. The most searched and wanted by property buyers wo-bedrooms in Aykon City are offered for sale at a price of AED1, 300, 000 with a payment plan extended for 11 payments spread over 6 years and with a down payment of 10%.
