2015 is coming to an end and Dubai real estate market analysts start submitting their annual summary statistics, the most reliable of which are official state authorities’ reports. Dubai Land Department has recently published its own report naming 10 most expensive Dubai areas in terms of the total cost of real estate transactions closed in Dubai throughout a year.
Dubai Marina has unsurprisingly topped the list with the majority of the highest value transactions. 1,986 property sales transactions worth USD 1.06 billion were closed there within a year of 2015. But Business Bay has outstripped Dubai Marina by the number of transactions. This location accounted for 2,131 real estate deals worth a total of USD 930 million.
Overall, 13,141 apartments and villas totaling USD 4.82 billion were sold within a year in ten most expensive and popular Dubai areas, DLD report says.
Burj Khalifa neighborhood took the third place in the list by the total transactions value. 893 real estate transactions worth USD 790 million were concluded there in 2015.
In addition to central Dubai areas usually popular among expats DLD statistics for the most active Dubai locations was enriched with freehold areas limited to the UAE and GCC countries citizens, such as Al Habya, Al Barsha South, Safa Valley, Al Thanya Al Thalatha and Maysam Al Oula.
