UAE real estate portal Dubizzle’s annual report has revealed the list of the most popular Dubai areas for rent adding some details to the recent findings of another analytical portal PropertyTrader, but this time in the rental segment.
Dubai Marina has been the most popular Dubai area for rent already for several years in a row — during last year apartments for rent in this Dubai area were searched at Dubizzle 68 million times, and buyers looking for an apartment for sale in Dubai Marina made 23 million searches. The second highest demand among tenants, according to the portal, was recorded for International City — 47 million rent searches were made for this community. And another 42 million searches were recorded in respect to Jumeirah Lakes Towers, the third most popular Dubai area.
“Most of our customers prefer Dubai Marina and JLT because it is surrounded by all the services and a family-friendly community,” said Oleg Lavrik, Head of the imexre.com.
Demand for affordable housing in Dubai has increased in such areas as Jumeirah Village Circle and Dubai Sports City, both of which made the city’s top-10 most searched areas list,” said Ann Boothello, product marketing manager for property at Dubizzle. Data colleced by experts at the imexre.com in December 2015 suggest that the average sale price for apartments in these areas was about US $ 250 psf.
“In terms of type of accommodation searched for, one-bedroom apartments were the most popular search criteria in Dubai Marina,” Ann Buttello also said
According to imexre.com data, among houses, villas and townhouses buyers greatest demand was recorded for Mudon community and Arabian Ranches, for these are where price/quality ratio for this type of housing is the most optimal.
