Two big Dubai developers Meydan and Meraas Holding, who are now engaged in Safa Park redevelopment in Dubai, revealed plans for residential property construction and creation of a unique infrastructure in Crystal Lagoon project there.
This new complex will be located alongside Dubai channel, which is currently under construction and is about to connect Business Bay to Jumeirah coastline. But in addition to the man-made channel Safa Park will also have man-made lagoons with sandy beaches.
“We are building two out of the four Crystal Lagoon Towers [the remaining two towers will be developed by Meraas], which will have its own crystal lagoon and a man-made beach,” Mohammad Al Khayat, vice-president, commercial and free zone, at Meydan Group, was quoted as saying.
“The size of the lagoon and the beach is still being worked out,” he added.
Yet it is already decided that Safa Park will be divided into A and B zones, each of which is a mix of residential and commercial property, but mixed in different proportions. 1,200 new homes are currently planned to be built at Crystal Lagoon, while the other residential community Gate Tower will have 500,000 square feet dedicated to retail in the two towers, connected with a bridge.
“We will build low-rise buildings near to the Al Wasl area, while mid-to-high rise development will dot the area near to the beach on Jumeirah and Sheikh Zayed Road,” Al Khayat said.
