According to the information received by the press from sources close to one of the Dubai master developers Emaar, the company intends to construct another set of villas in community with the golf course as the main dominant in Dubai World Central.
Integrated urban residential community and professional golf course may appear in the area adjacent to one of the world’s largest airports Al Maktoum International Airport. According to Construction Week Online, an agreement on the construction of a new golf course community was signed by Emaar and Dubai World Central in December 2013, but the construction is likely to begin only in 2017.
If the project is to be implemented, it will occupy 1360 hectares of land within Dubai World Central area, and the first phase of the project will include the construction of villas around the golf course, as well as several hotels, shopping and entertainment complex, recreational areas and office center, where preference and support will be provided to young start-up entrepreneurs.
Today Dubai World Central is a kind of "aerotropolis", that is the area of urban development, centered around Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC), which, after its final completion, will have the capacity to handle 160 million passengers and 12 million tons of cargo a year.
