One of several largest Dubai property developers Emaar has awarded a contract to build its new mixed-use complex Dubai Creek Residences in Dubai Creek Harbour to local construction company Al Basti & Muktha LLC (ABM), already having such developments as Old Town District in Downtown Dubai in its construction portfolio.
Dubai Creek Residences will be a combination of six 30- and 40-storey residential buildings forming a cluster named The Island District with total area of six square kilometers.
In addition to residential real estate, according to Emaar’s plans, The Island District area will also include up to 1,000 hotel rooms of world-class hospitality and more than 600 cultural units, shops, entertainment facilities and restaurants.
Dubai Creek Residences will become a center of active urban lifestyle in this part of Dubai, and thanks to cooperation with ABM the construction is expected to be completed in 2018.
In a press statement, Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director of Emaar Properties, said: “Dubai Creek Residences forms the first residential complex in Dubai Creek Harbour and brings an unmatched value proposition for investors and end-use homeowners. Defined by their spectacular location, the six towers assure an active, marina-centred lifestyle choice for residents, right in the heart of the city. With the construction contract awarded to ABM, we are underlining our commitment to deliver the homes as per schedule in 2018.”
