The demand for villas and apartments in the residential development Ashjar (which literally means "forest") allowed the developer Al Barari to sell 75% of units in it soon after the first phase was launched.
The construction of this residential cluster surrounded by lush forest vegetation in the Al Barari area (which means “wilderness” in Arabic) started in May this year and to date 36% of the project has been completed. Only 52 of the 203 residential units are on sale at the moment.
The development with the total area of nearly 18.42 million square feet will consist of several clusters surrounded by forest. The plant nursery Green Works was opened there in order to grow a large number of new plants creating the scenic “natural” green landscape next to the houses. 80% of the development territory will be set aside to nature.
Ashjar represents the second phase of the Al Barari project and includes a luxury apartment complex Seven Heaven and villas in the The Nest cluster. In addition to residential units a boutique hotel, dining venues, retail including a floating market, as well as educational and medical institutions will be also created there.
The first phase of the project has already gained great popularity among Dubai residents not only due to the property buying opportunities, but also largely due to such iconic places as The Farm restaurant, as well as the Body language and Heart & Soul spa and wellness centers. The second phase of the project is planned for completion in December 2017.
