It’s enough for Dubai residents to live in anticipation of grand city-changing events: in November, together with the beginning of the best year season in Dubai, a new place for walking and having fun outdoors will finally appear in the very center of the city, previously being predominantly commercial and business center. Waterfront complex and promenade Marasi Business Bay will open in November in parallel with the Dubai Canal opening, Dubai Properties representatives have reported.
The grand opening ceremony of a new main emirate’s water artery the Dubai Canal, which is about to completely transform the entire city center, will be the biggest event of November, but the simultaneous completion of Marasi Business Bay Promenade will give a chance to appreciate the neighborhood specifics. Dubai residents and guests will finallly have a wonderful opportunity to come and sit in an open cafe by the water facing the new Canal, to walk through the shops or visit new waterfront restaurants together with a berth marina. And this is just the beginning!
Marasi Business Bay project valued at USD 272 million is going to be implemented in full only by 2023, when 16 green parks, water features, play areas and events space with amphitheatre, outdoor cinema and weekly markets are about to open on a 250,000 square meters of the complex territory. Some of these transformations will be available as early as by Q4 2017, when the first phase of the project is scheduled for completion.
And more, about 200 water houses are also a part of the Marasi Business Bay project first phase: spacious villas, more resembling a bungalow on a floating pontoon with a berth for small boats and yachts. In contrast to the floating and partly submersed villas in other projects, such as those on the islands of The World archipelago, these water homes will imply more traditional concept of the waterfront living, which, however, will have all the benefits of a beach house in the very center of the city.
Abdulla M. Lahej, group CEO of Dubai Properties, said: “The Business Bay landscape will be redefined with the opening of the Marasi Business Bay Promenade and the Dubai Water Canal.
“Visitors and residents in this area, which has been known more for its commercial activities, will now have a unique venue in the heart of the city where they can enjoy a new active, urban lifestyle.”
