A new hotel complex with different kinds of rooms and serviced residential apartments will soon be constructed in the heart of Dubai, on the Sheikh Zayed Road opposite Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
Agreement on the implementation of the relevant project has been signed between Rotana and Bin Yousef Group. The hotel is the sixteenth hospitality industry project presented by Rotana in Dubai and thirty-fifth in the UAE, while the total hospitality room stock owned by this hotel operator will increase by 585 rooms to 14285 objects due to this new hotel launch.
Nasser Al Nowais, Chairman of Rotana said, "We are very proud to have been chosen to manage this new jewel in Dubai, which will no doubt be a leading property not only in Dubai but in the UAE. With Dubai's hospitality sector projected to maintain its growth momentum across various segments, we were keen to launch a premium hotel in the city that will provide a new level of luxury and comfort to guests with the convenience associated with our brand".
TripAdvisor recently named Dubai the world's number destination for hotels, and by 2016 Dubai seems to be able to achieve the projected annual income from tourism in the amount of US $ 2 billion. Dubai Tourism Strategy 2020, adopted by the government, has given considerable impetus to the hotel real estate industry development.
Building new hotels is necessary, the Head of Rotana said, for Dubai aims to become a tourist destination number one in the world by 2020. The purpose of increasing hotel industry capacity to host 160 thousand visitors by 2020 is also largely dictated by the city’s preparing to Expo 2020.
