Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, a New York based architectural firm has been chosen to design the bold architecture of the resort. The interiors of the resort will be managed by the GA Design, a London based firm. The resort with its contemporary style of glass and stacked blocks with outcroppings and sky garden will be outshine the existing architecture in the area and the Atlantis hotel.
Architectural innovation and experimental designing has now returned to the Dubai after the market meltdown in 2008. With the market booming, architects are now ready get involved. For this very purpose an annual Cityscape exhibition will be hosted in next week, where different artists will exhibit their designs.
The Royal Atlantis Resort, managed by Krezner will have 46 levels and consist of 800 rooms looking out to the seafront. It will also have a swimming pool, 90 metres above the ground on the curve of the man-made island already present near the Atlantis Palm resort. It will consist of 250 lavish residential and retail spaces.
