Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai personally visited and approved the launch of the most impressive year’s projects in Dubai: a multifunctional super complex Meydan One, presented by Meydan City Corporation.
The launch of this project, without exaggeration, came as a real bombshell to the Dubai real estate market, lulled in recent months. Multifunctional super complex Meydan One has a lot of stunning characteristics: several new Dubai "miracles" will be created in its territory of 3,670 million square meters. Firstly, it’s a new world’s tallest residential building The Dubai One, which will house 885 apartments, a five-star hotel with 350 hotel keys and the world's highest observation deck at a height of 665 meters above the ground. Secondly, it is the world’s largest dancing fountain, which will overshadow already existing and attracting all Dubai visitors Dubai Fontain. And, thirdly, it is the world’s largest and longest indoor 1.2 km ski slope.
The Meydan One Mall, which such a project surely could not do without, will also be one of a kind. A 150m x 80m retractable roof will be created above it, which will be opened in the winter cooler months and create an open space within the complex.
Among the other project’s wonders, perhaps, we should mention a large 25,000 square meters sports zone, in which there will be enough space for all kinds of sports and even for a huge stadium Meydan Arena housing 8,000 spectators; 300 meters long beach, and a huge civic plaza spacious enough for 60,000 guests, and also an artificial 4 km channel and a 100 berth marina.
The first phase of this mega-structure, which will be located between Meydan and Al Khail Road, is planned to be completed before 2020, when Dubai will host the World Expo 2020 exhibition.
