Legoland Dubai, Bollywood Parks Dubai and Motiongate theme parks launched in Dubai recently are all set to open in October 2016.
Dubai Parks and Resorts, the company behind theme parks construction in Dubai, revealed details about new attractions in the parks, and also reported that 11,000 workers are currently working on the site with the numbers set to increase following the end of the mid-day break rule.
Motiongate Dubai, inspired mostly by Hollywood greatest films and cartoons, will feature DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures Studios and Lionsgate pavilions. The park is divided into five theme zones, which will house 27 attractions spread across four million square feet of land. Another theme park is dedicated to the other gigantic film industry, Indian Bollywood, having five themed zones with 16 attractions across 2.1 million square feet, while Legoland Dubai park will have six theme zones with more than 40 attractions across 3.2 million square feet.
All three theme parks will be interconnected with a magnificent Riverland Dubai pavilion as the entrance plaza. It will be divided into four theme zones — French Village, Boardwalk, India Gate and The Peninsula, where there will be 220,000 square feet of leasable space. Hospitality real estate in the complex will be presented by a 503 room Polynesian styled family hotel, operated by The Marriott Group.
All ground works at the construction site are already complete and now the sub-station and district cooling plant is being finalized. Additionally, it is planned to complete the construction of the road connecting the park directly to the UAE capital Abu Dhabi in August 2016.
