That, what Dubai authorities have done in the last ten years and are doing now for the development of the emirate could not stay unnoticed by the international community, which has proved its interest not only by investments increase in all sectors, but also by awarding Dubai a right and honor to host the most important events in the fields of economy, trade and real estate. First on the list is, of course, the World Expo 2020, which will give Dubai a truly reactive impetus in development. But internationally recognized organizations such as the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) are increasingly choosing Dubai for hosting others, not less important events.
These days it was announced that The FIABCI World Real Estate Congress 2018 will be held in Dubai. This successful bid for hosting the event in Dubai was taken over by several organizations, including the Dubai Land Department (DLD) and the Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI).
Despite the highly specialized nature of the event, its importance couldn’t be overestimated. The choice of the city as the main platform for the Congress proves that reforms in real estate domain held by the Emirate’s authorities really impressed the international community. This includes the extension of real estate purchase rights for expatriates, innovative development plans for different city areas, strengthening and developing world-class infrastructure, effective and transparent regulation of the sector, which protects the rights of all participants involved, and focus on the use of the latest technologies. All of these solutions, as well as its pioneering role in the creation of iconic architectural wonders, brought Dubai into the top ten global emerging real estate markets.
Chief executive officer of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Issam Kazim says, “Choosing Dubai as the foremost Middle East country to be a venue for the congress is certainly a tribute to the ambition of the city, both as a developed destination to stage the eminent conferences as well as a bright real estate market. The successful bid executed by us reflects the reputed top ranking of the country as the hub of global investment.”
In 2018, the annual FIABCI World Real Estate Congress will bring together more than 1,000 real estate professionals from 60 countries in Dubai for a few days to hold discussions on the main theme "Future of Cities" and discuss the latest trends being the main driving forces of any real estate market. This conference will also provide an exclusive communication platform for international business professionals.
The FIABCI Members and Delegates represent all the real estate industry sectors such as luxury, residential, retail, commercial as well as industrial. This organization has also been working very closely with the United Nations since 1954. It is considered as the only real estate association to hold special consultative status of NGO at the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
